While fitness and healthy eating have always been important, it catapulted in 1969 when he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. The Marine Corps took fitness to a new level; incorporating fitness as a way of life. Staying hydrated during 8 to 10 mile runs is paramount and water became a thread not only to fitness but livelihood.
In 1989 Mr. Phillips’ water literacy began as a Route Sales Representative with Sparkletts, where he worked for 12 years. Before leaving Sparkletts, he opened Water Express, a full service water store in Paramount, California. Water Express sold drinking water and water-related products (i.e. bpa free water bottles, under the sink R.O. systems, water coolers, water pumps, tilts, Water Express either had it or would get it. The store was open from 1996-2013 when Mr. Phillips retired.
In 2009, his philosophy of water and health changed after being introduced to the technology that produces Kangen Antioxidant Alkaline Water. Mr. Phillips has been a licensed distributor for Enagic since his introduction.
As a Vietnam Veteran, single dad, “foodie” and avid basketball fan, Marty Phillips lives by the motto: “Your Health IS your Wealth”.
